[RWD version 1 ]
Linear out and back route from Gleninagh taking in the three VLs of Benbreen, inspired by Wicklore's track 1405.
The starting point is at V935 804, which is at the end of a private road off the R344. The private road is marked private and there may be a closed gate - however, as long as you ask for permission at the farm house you should be okay - they are very positive towards hillwalkers. I was very glad that Wicklore had already pointed this out, because I am wary of opening other peoples gates, at least for the car!
The walk itself is on a track of sorts as far as the Maumina col between Benbaun and Bencollaghduff, before contouring over complex ground around Bencollaghduff and onto Benbreen - romping over the three tops before returning the same way.
