A straight up and down walk starting from the very bottom of the valley near the Scullogue Gap. There was plenty of room on grass verge where I parked in order to take in the full ascent of the mountain, but if you want to cut out that initial 8 minutes of walking on quiet country roads then park up near S8137847884 where the walk leaves the road, room for about ten cars to park near here. From here the walk goes up a narrow lane, through a few rough fields and on to open mountainside. My route follows a well worn track and on my visit was quiet wet in places. Unfortunately I didn't have time (or a second car) to continue on walk along the ridge, which can be done, on to the far side of Bran Scullair. A very enjoyable walk nonetheless, given that over 200 of us have done this summit to date I figured it was about time that we had at least one track to it's summit! Need a few more tracks I think in this well walked and worthy range.
