Starting from the last house (ask permission) this route takes in the "Dromtine Ridge", a brilliant way to gain height onto the Dunkerron ridge and also a great platform to see Coomnahorna from the east. Once on the ridge proper it is easy enough to get to the nondescript Coomcathcun and then down onto the ridge of An Bhinn Láir. With its surrounding lakes this is a magnificent airy ridge almost made for photography with its steep sides and surrounding lakes. Don't underestimate the roughness of the ground on this route - this is as near as it gets to wilderness in Ireland.
