There's no such thing as a typically Sperrins walk but this very enjoyable route has everything the Sperrins has to offer. From forest walks along babbling streams to boggy tops with extensive views.
Navigation is reasonably straightforward apart from the section coming back from Mullaghmore to Bohilbreaga. It's an extensive area of difficult peat hags that limit visibility making it easy to get off route and sucking all the energy from the legs as you go constantly up and down the hags.
My route dips down to the top of Moydamlaght Forest below Craig-na-Shoke as I wanted to discover the geocache located there. I'd still highly recommend this route as the climb up from below the crag isn't too difficult and the views of the crag from below are quite spectacular. There also appears to be a nesting bird of prey that I was unable to identify on the crag and the pair were a bit annoyed at my presence in the area flying around a bit and calling.
I enjoyed this walk a lot more than I expected and I think it's one of the best days I've had in the Sperrins.

Your time to complete will depend on your speed plus break time and your mode of transport. For walkers: Naismith's rule, an approximate though often inaccurate estimate, suggests a time of 4h 55m + time stopped for breaks
NOTE: It is up to you to ensure that your route is appropriate for you and your party to follow bearing in mind all factors such as safety, weather conditions, experience and access permission.
