This route starts up forest roads from a forest entrance and emerges onto green fields at about 280m. Surprisingly these fields are in very good condition and actively used for sheep farming, so cross with care not to annoy the animals particularly in spring. Dogs are out of the question. We met a farmer, explained what we were doing and he was ok with it, but we would not assume that visitors would always be welcome.
Cross a few fields to reach the summit, itself in green fields.
The return from the summit is an alternative way up or down which may be desirable if there are sheep on the more easterly side.
