simon3: Track 2367 in area near Knocknagun, Dublin/Wicklow (Ireland)
Dublin Mountains from Glencree.
Length: 19.7km, Creator time taken: 5h21m, Ascent: 656m, Descent: 778m
Places:Start at O1412617993, Knocknagun, Tibradden Mountain, Glendoo Mountain, end at Start Logged as completed by 1
This walk started from the Glencree Reconciliation Centre. This can be a reasonably secure place to park however may require payment. There is also a cafe there. Find out when the place shuts before you set off.
This walk goes over Knocknagun and takes a heathery descent to the forest above the Glencullen valley. It is possible to extend the walk onto Two Rock (see other tracks for how to do this.) or go over Tibradden Mtn as shown.
The river north of Glencree may become impassable in high rain requiring a walk around another route such as via the Military Road.

NOTE: ALL information such as Ascent, Length and Creator time taken etc should be regarded as approximate. The creator's comments are opinions and may not be accurate or still correct.
Your time to complete will depend on your speed plus break time and your mode of transport. For walkers: Naismith's rule, an approximate though often inaccurate estimate, suggests a time of 5h 1m + time stopped for breaks
NOTE: It is up to you to ensure that your route is appropriate for you and your party to follow bearing in mind all factors such as safety, weather conditions, experience and access permission.
* Note: A GPS Height in the elevation profile is sourced from the device that recorded the track. An "SRTM" height is derived from a model of elevations for parts of the earth. More detail
