[RWD version 1 ]
A track that takes in the two MV summits of Clermont Carn and Carnavaddy. Once parked up you cross Cadgers Bridge and follow the farm tracks along the side of stone walls to the Poc Fada presentation area (12 standing stones and a small dolmen). The track then continues to follow clear mountain paths up to Clermont Carn and the mast. From here my track follows the yellow stone markers of the poc fada route to Carnavaddy, it should however be noted that there are better mountain tracks to the west of my route. From Carnavaddy the route follows the yellow poc fada stones down as far as the big ravine, at this point instead of continuing on back to the car my route turns and follows more vague tracks around Carrabane down to a quiet country road, before the last small section being on the more busy road and finishing up at the Lumpars pub with a nice wee drop of the local Cooley Whiskey!
This is a track in my native county that I would highly recommend!
