simon3: Track 2253 in area near Dublin/Wicklow (Ireland)
Wet weather route from Glenmalure Lodge
Length: 20.3km, Creator time taken: 5h24m, Ascent: 889m,
Descent: 781m

Places: Start at T10680 90857, Corrigasleggaun, Cloghernagh, end at Start
Logged as completed by 1
Taking in Corrigasleggaun and Clohernagh this route starts and finishes from Glenmalure Lodge a guest house in Glenmalure much used by walkers and having a very large car park.
The route can be extended to Lugnaquillia and Slieve Maan if required.
Note the use of a short cut through the tree on the return around 2km (direct) from the end at around T089908. This involves a sharp turn left off one forest road to find the end of another.
As of 2013 there is a substantial cairn marking the start of the path.

Your time to complete will depend on your speed plus break time and your mode of transport. For walkers: Naismith's rule, a rough and often inaccurate estimate, suggests a time of 5h 33m + time stopped for breaks
Note: It is up to you to ensure that your route is appropriate for you and your party to follow bearing in mind all factors such as safety, weather conditions, experience and access permission.
