My first walking venture to County Kerry and a thoroughly enjoyable trip to bag Carrauntoohil and a few other 900M+ summits. A fabulous days walking, only slightly marred by low cloud and restricted visibility above the 750m level.
I want to take this opportunity to give my sincere thanks to those who offered their advice. In particular I would like to thank Peter Walker who took time out to give me much help, detailed advice and encouragement when planning this trip. The guidance from Peter was absolutely spot on and without a doubt helped me greatly when tackling the more difficult aspects of the adventure especially the Beenkeragh Ridge.
I owe you a drink for that Peter!

Your time to complete will depend on your speed plus break time and your mode of transport. For walkers: Naismith's rule, a rough and often inaccurate estimate, suggests a time of 4h 39m + time stopped for breaks
Note: It is up to you to ensure that your route is appropriate for you and your party to follow bearing in mind all factors such as safety, weather conditions, experience and access permission.
