A quick test of the Viewranger GPS software (this time on an HTC Desire mobile) out on the hill...not too bad at all. The pull up Barnes is not too bad by Sperrin standards; the col between Barnes and Knockanbane is damply fissured but (fortunately) without a drowning risk.

To vary the return we made a semi-beeline for the (out of sight) car, then followed an intervening fence back to the road (which provides easy access back to the start).

Note: ALL information such as Ascent, Length and Creator time taken etc should be regarded as approximate. The creator's comments are opinions and may not be accurate or still correct.
Your time to complete will depend on your speed plus break time and your mode of transport. For walkers: Naismith's rule, a rough and often inaccurate estimate, suggests a time of 1h 6m + time stopped for breaks
Note: It is up to you to ensure that your route is appropriate for you and your party to follow bearing in mind all factors such as safety, weather conditions, experience and access permission.
