Mojo Sauce on the Tabayesco Loop in Lanzarote

Starting from Tabayesco a small northern Lanzarote village near Arrieta, ascend the now rough ground covered in mostly disused water cachment terracing. You pass a wind monitoring mast and on to Cerra Tabayesco (491m), a volcanic rocky outcrop of a summit.
Pick up a dirt track to the north of this and continue NW optionally visiting Pena de la Pequena (499m ) amidst fields of potatoes and onions. The dirt track lead to the LZ-10 and you can walk north on this stopping if you like at the Restaurante Los Helechos. While touristy this air conditioned place is a great refuge from what may have been a hot steep climb. You can indeed find Mojo Sauce (a local Canarian speciality) with Canarian potatoes.
You need to continue in the general direction of the LZ-10 but not on it where it has some extreme hairpin bends. There is a handy footpath that allows you to do this perfectly safely. To descend you could use a derived GPS route from this track or Discovery Walking Guides 1:40,000 map which accurately shows the route. Again. Do not walk down the hairpins of the LZ10 as this is suicidal.
Eventually you comje to the valley east of Tabayesco through which you can return to the start.

NOTE: ALL information such as Ascent, Length and Creator time taken etc should be regarded as approximate. The creator's comments are opinions and may not be accurate or still correct.
Your time to complete will depend on your speed plus break time and your mode of transport. For walkers: Naismith's rule, an approximate though often inaccurate estimate, suggests a time of 3h 34m + time stopped for breaks
NOTE: It is up to you to ensure that your route is appropriate for you and your party to follow bearing in mind all factors such as safety, weather conditions, experience and access permission.

* Note: A GPS Height in the elevation profile is sourced from the device that recorded the track. An "SRTM" height is derived from a model of elevations for parts of the earth. More detail
