Garmin: Track 2109 in area near Sawel, Sperrin Mountains (Ireland)
Derry & Tyrones highest summit
Length: 5.0km, Creator time taken: 3h29m, Ascent: 357m, Descent: 385m
Places:Start at H63839 97462, Sawel, end at Start Logged as completed by 1
Navigation for this summit is straight foreward, From the start point there is a fence that marks the Derry/Tyrone country boundary. Follow this fence all the way up until it turns left just before the summit as per track.
The going is boggy in places but with a little meandering good footing is easily found.
Excellent views from the top including the Sawel-Dart ridge which looked very tempting but we decided to leave that for another day.
