Knockahunna is the quiet northern neighbour of Slievenamon. My track starts on farmland where I received permission from the farmer to park. My route heads over difficult deep heather and rocks in a westerly direction before meeting a forestry track next to the trees. This track leads very steeply uphill to the summit. I used the forestry track as much as possible on the descent before once again plunging into the deep heather and rocks to reach my car. Ensure the get the permission from the farmer to enter his land here and leave all gates as you find them. (the farmer lives in the house on the approach laneway to this route - he readily gave permission to me)
