simon3: Track 2014 in area near Cloghernagh, Dublin/Wicklow (Ireland)
A Glenmalure Variation.
Length: 18.5km, Creator time taken: 5h32m, Ascent: 1039m,
Descent: 982m

Places: Start at T07976 92855, Cloghernagh, Lugnaquilla, Camenabologue, Camenabologue SE Top, end at T06659 94173 1.9km NW from Start
Logged as completed by 1
Another slightly different route on the South side of Glenmalure.
This particular way uses an ascent up Cloghernagh through the forest as shown.
At the end instead of the usual route from Camenabologue down the Table Track (NE of the summit) it goes to Camenabologue SE top and then through the trees to the forest road. A part of this, just above the trees, is fairly steep. Going via CSET will take roughly the same time as the Table Track route.

Note: ALL information such as Ascent, Length and Creator time taken etc should be regarded as approximate. The creator's comments are opinions and may not be accurate or still correct.
Your time to complete will depend on your speed plus break time and your mode of transport. For walkers: Naismith's rule, a rough and often inaccurate estimate, suggests a time of 5h 26m + time stopped for breaks
Note: It is up to you to ensure that your route is appropriate for you and your party to follow bearing in mind all factors such as safety, weather conditions, experience and access permission.
