simon3: Track 1983 in area near Buailte Pádraig, Bluestack Mountains (Ireland)
Boultypatrick track through a maze.
Length: 7.0km, Creator time taken: 2h27m, Ascent: 319m,
Descent: 322m

Places: Start at G97359 96554, Buailte Pádraig, end at Start

Starting from the forest entrance to the south this takes tracks as shown on the OS 1:10k layer in MV. The forestry is much more extensive than shown on that map, extending to the EW ridgeline. It is recommended that future visitors study the airphotos to optimise the route. The way down the east side of the forest shown is extremely rough in many places with rushes over very uneven ground.

Note: ALL information such as Ascent, Length and Creator time taken etc should be regarded as approximate. The creator's comments are opinions and may not be accurate or still correct.
Your time to complete will depend on your speed plus break time and your mode of transport. For walkers: Naismith's rule, a rough and often inaccurate estimate, suggests a time of 1h 55m + time stopped for breaks
Note: It is up to you to ensure that your route is appropriate for you and your party to follow bearing in mind all factors such as safety, weather conditions, experience and access permission.
