[RWD version 1 ]
The walk to Slieve Carr, one of the remotest hills in Ireland, taking in Nephin Beg on the way is an arduous route. The 300m+ climb from Scardaun Lough up the side of Corslieve is particularly steep and challenging. The return route along the Bangor Trail is very wet and somewhat tedious. We stayed overnight in the Brogan Carrol Bothy and did the route in one day.
