Tim_Crooks: Track 1707 in area near Silsean, Dublin/Wicklow (Ireland)
Silsean to Sally Gap
Length: 19.5km, Creator time taken: 6h 8m, Ascent: 1043m,
Descent: 863m

Places: Start at O0127203498, Silsean, Moanbane, Mullaghcleevaun, Mullaghcleevaun East Top, Duff Hill, Gravale, Carrigvore, end at O1304313068 15km NE from Start
Logged as completed by 1

Cross the 7 summits from Blessington to THe Sally Gap - Start at the forest entrance to Silsean and scramble through a crowded Forest, gradually make your way up the Slopes of Silsean, then cross to Moanbane, Turn Eastward to Billy Byrnes Gap and then up the steep side of Mullaghcleevaun. Between here and the East top is the half way point. After East Top the Decents get bigger and the heather makes the walk tougher then the maps would suggest with Duff Hill and Gravale a long ascent to the summit. The final summit Carrigvore is easier than the previous two which is noce as your legs will be heavy. At just under 20Kms not the longest route but with over 1,000 meters of ascent and nearly the same in decent it is hard going.

NOTE: ALL information such as Ascent, Length and Creator time taken etc should be regarded as approximate. The creator's comments are opinions and may not be accurate or still correct.
Your time to complete will depend on your speed plus break time and your mode of transport. For walkers: Naismith's rule, an approximate though often inaccurate estimate, suggests a time of 5h 39m + time stopped for breaks
NOTE: It is up to you to ensure that your route is appropriate for you and your party to follow bearing in mind all factors such as safety, weather conditions, experience and access permission.

* Note: A GPS Height in the elevation profile is sourced from the device that recorded the track. An "SRTM" height is derived from a model of elevations for parts of the earth. More detail
