[RWD version 1 ] Stepping off the boat and clambering onto the rocks ( the only way to do it) one is faced with a brief and lung-bursting haul up to the summit of one of Ireland's finest islands. sheer cliffs, grassy slopes, fine views, and all the while surrounded by the wonderful birdlife. As the name of the island suggests, there is a colony of thousands of protected puffins here. Their innocent gaze and comical looks will enthrall you as you roam this pristine island, where there are absolutely no buildings, debris or pollution. If you make it here please respect this pristine environment and the wildlife.
