Much more interesting than the summit is the White horse carved into Hill. There are a number of carvings of horses on hills in England. The vast majority of them are in Wiltshire (nine to be exact) and a few elsewhere scattered around England. If driving down from Swindon you will see it as you drive up Hackpen Hill
Just south Of Swindon head for the white horse on Hackpen Hill, The car park at the top has a small track beside it. Walk along this track and after a short walk head over field to Trig pillar Linkback: mountainviews.ie/summit/B5383/comment/21330/
