Long snowy trek to summit
by Fergalh  20 Apr 2021
Parked to the east on Narrow lane. Followed track upwards into the forest heading roughly west of peak where you come to a junction. Double back roughly eastwards towards the peak. Underneath the peak follow forest ride up wards to near the summit. The trees are well spaced out so a simple push through leads to a small cairn in the trees near the cliff edge Linkback:

This short way up is not recommended
by Fergalh  20 Apr 2021
After climbing Cyrniau in the snow via a shorter but harder way rather than the easier way around the back we decided to take the long way around this time as you can see an ascent up the east face is some what problematic Linkback:

Picture: A Nye of Pheasants
Birds on the track
by Fergalh  20 Apr 2021
As we were parking we were passed by numerous Landrovers filled with Barbour jacket, tweed cap and shotgun carrying individuals. We asked a few on foot who followed the landrovers and they said they were on a shoot but only saw one bird and missed. Around a hour later on the same track we saw a nye of pheasants maybe our sport is more compatible with the pheasants than theirs ! Linkback:
