Long trek to summit
by Fergalh
11 May 2021
From Brimmond Hill I headed back down track to minor road walked along until I arrived at Elrick Country Park. Headed up and over the minor summit of Elrick Hill (not on Mountainviews) and continued to the A96 (cross with care!) to the entrance to Elrick forest. Followed long forest tracks to the summit marked with the Tappie tower and a trig pillar Linkback: mountainviews.ie/summit/B4904/comment/23110/

Hill near Aberdeen airport worth climbing if you have a few hours to spare

From the summit I headed east on forest tracks rather than to the forest entrance and walk along the grass verge of the A96. These tracks eventually lead to a track that leads to a minor road and footpath at the roundabout near Aberdeen Airport. I still had plenty of time before my friends arrived and we soon headed off towards the bigger hills the following day. Linkback: mountainviews.ie/summit/B4904/comment/23111/
