From the centre of Coniston I followed signpost and lane alongside the river initially. Eventually it turned into a track and slowly it started to get steeper and steeper as it wound its way up the hill . Due to cloud I missed most of the famous views. The summit is marked by a large cairn and a brick trig pillar Linkback: https://mountainviews.ie/summit/B2634/comment/22059/

As this is one of the more popular climbs in the Lake district where you park needs some planning. I climbed on a very wet bad weather day and still had to park way out of coniston on a side road. Even though the weather was bad it was busy on the track Linkback: https://mountainviews.ie/summit/B2634/comment/22060/
