A large Irish connection....

The village of Banwen where you start the walk to Hirfynydd is made interesting for Irish people by one of its most famous sons. St Patrick was born here and there are some plaques and a brief history near the forest entrance in a small green area Linkback: https://mountainviews.ie/summit/b2277/comment/21537/

Long walk through trees

Park in Village of Banwen at end of forest in Car Park and follow the long track all the way to the summit marked by a white trig pillar in the trees Linkback: https://mountainviews.ie/summit/b2277/comment/21536/
