Carrickbyrne Hill: Very overgrown but passable

Tievummera Highpoint: An obvious stop along the ridge

Iron Bridge, Croaghanmoira and Ballyteige circuit.

Faha Ridge: Testing ridge with narrow irregular path. Often extreme.

Hare Island: A very pleasant four hours

Garinish Island: White-tailed sea eagles on Gairinish

Short trek to summit from track

Parked to the west in forest near the YHA hostel Kings (the manager would not let us park on the grounds). Walked past the campsite and headed east and than when near the hill headed south through the heather and bracken to the unmarked summit. An unusual modern rock arrangement is near the summit on the final ascent. Linkback:
