New Comment: Large Monument at summit
by Fergalh  10 Nov 2020
Parked at the south as part of a treble summiteering walk Including Foel Fenelli and Moel Eithinen. There is an extensive car park at Bwlch Pen Barras, This was a steep climb up towards the summit which is marked by the jubilee monument. This was built in 1810 and was supposed to be a large obelisk but it blew down in 1862 and they left the base afterwards. There is also a trig pillar at the summit and this is Flintshire's highest point Linkback: https://mountainviews.ie/summit/B2041/comment/21301/
