Interesting trek across the Nieve.....
by Fergalh  20 Jan 2021
From Benyellary we crossed the narrow ridge known as 'Nieve of the Spit' and than ascended to the summit of the Meerick which is the highest mountain in Southern Scotland. This is marked with a Trig Pillar Linkback: https://mountainviews.ie/summit/B1688/comment/22149/

Summit in sight
by Fergalh  20 Jan 2021
Always one of the most welcome sights for any hill walker on a misty day and a high summit is when the clouds lift and the trig pillar can be spotted and this was a very misty day Linkback: https://mountainviews.ie/summit/b1688/comment/22151/
