Picture: Duncolm from below
Long trek followed by short sharp climb
by Fergalh 8 May 2024
Parked at Edenmill just south of Carbeth off the A809 and headed along the john Muir way before turning through the forest just before the Burncrocks reservoir. The track runs out and the next kilometre is through a forest run before you reach the edge of the forest. In front of you is the steep side of Duncolm, cross the stream and follow the track to the wall just south east of the summit at a wall . From here a steep short climb leads to the the summit. The summit is marked by a trig pillar and a small bench. Foggy day with no views at summit Linkback: mountainviews.ie/summit/B1668/comment/24197/
