Vanishing Hill.

On the way to spend the day in the Galty Mts myself and Muschi decided to visit Killough Hill , working from OS map 66 printed in 1994 this was to be a short detour with a walk up thru forest to the trig . What a surprise when we arrived to find the entrance not to a forest but to a very large quarry. As i am employed in the same industry and due to the fact both of us hold a quarry safe pass we decided to ask permission from the quarry office and fortunately as it turned out i knew the owners and permission was granted. The rock from the original summit is probably now located in the middle of the M8 and the highest point now existing is app 350 meters away from the Mountain View coordinates at S1117251253 A on a bench of rock earmarked for blasting.
