IN THE SHADOWS
by sandman 12 Aug 2013
Lettertrask is a 279m summit in the shadow of it's neighbours, but this should not take away from such a little gem. As the views, although not as stunning as from the top of Bullaunmore, are still up there. From Newport take Achill road and turn right for Furnace on to the L1402, passing through the Wild Nephin Wilderness area turn left in by Bunaveela Lake. I parked beside a farm yard at A (F97858 09217) whose owner kindly allowed me to reach the summit through his property Linkback: mountainviews.ie/summit/973/comment/15065/
