James Fraser refers in A Hand Book for Travellers in Ireland (1854) to: the hills of Collon and Barranisky, which rise respectively 782 and 789 feet above the sea. The height is incorrect for Barranisky, it being 923 feet high, but the geographical location is precise enough to be certain of the identification. Has been called Ballymoyle.
Barranisky is the 1201th highest place in Ireland. Trackback: https://mountainviews.ie/summit/972/
