Tullynasoo is a townland in the parish of Kilcoo. The name is derived from Ir. Tulaigh na Subh, 'hillock of strawberries'. The name Tullynasoo Mountain probably refers to the mountain pasture of the townland. Slievenalargy appears to be the name of the peak.   Slievenalargy is the 1197th highest place in Ireland.

Burnt hill top

As of April 2011 the gorze above the quarry Wicklore mentions has been burnt off. You can pretty much pick your own route so long as you don't mind blackening your clothes and climbing fences. Linkback: https://mountainviews.ie/summit/971/comment/6310/
