New Parking Issue
by DeirdreM 4 Feb 2025
There's now a locked gate blocking any parking. There's a place for one car just east of the main gate. Linkback: mountainviews.ie/summit/896/comment/24377/

Picture: My kind of farming
One for turbine lovers.
by thomas_g 10 Feb 2012
Parked at A (W1675 5065) (lots of room for cars). Followed the wind farm road to the summit, it's hardcore stone most of the way up, which is fairly unpleasant for us Irish walkers who are used to the springy carpet of bog that we find on many of our mountains.
There is a gate in the fence behind the eastmost turbine, from there it's a 200m wade to the flat, boggy summit. The views north towards Nowen Hill are nice enough, while west and south are marked by wind turbines. 5km, about an hour up and down. Linkback: mountainviews.ie/summit/896/comment/6680/
