On Tim Robinson's map of Connemara, Seanadh Bhéara (Shannavara) only appears as a townland name. This hill is named Cnoc Úraid. A legend predicts that Cnoc Úraid / Oorid Hill will be the site of the last battle for Christianity. [TR]   Seanadh Bhéara is the highest hill in the South Connemara area and the 1042th highest in Ireland.

A Tale of Two Cairns.
by sandman  16 May 2016
Having received permission from the farmer to access the open hillside thru his property i parked at L9514244903 starA. On reaching the summit area you will notice two cairns one whose photo i included is the MV pick for the summit but the other cairn at L9334843623 starB seems to be higher, a photo of same included in previous post. To answer the query raised by TommyV for at the time to facilitate parking on a narrow road and not wishing to park on the N59 i parked beside the farm yard with a view to access the hill via the route described in Track 925 but as i parked i noticed the track up thru the farmyard. Whether the farmer is still happy to allow hill walkers i can't answer . But as a safe guaranteed no access issues approach from the south parking in the small car park at L9271638708 starC see my comment on Gortmore Hill.
