Busy hill with remote top .. by wicklore   (Show all for Slieve Rushen)

Not a bad way to finish a local 100!
by Geo  8 Sep 2013
After a damp Slieve Glah and a particularly horrendous high-step over the vegetation on Bruse Hill, we followed wicklore's excellent directions and grid references up to the end of the track on Slieve Rushen. The reward after number's 98 & 99 of my local list was a nice easy, soft walk across the bog to the 'summit' of my 100th local hill woohoo! Lots of whooshy wind turbines and the sound of boy racers burning rubber on the access roads below us were our soundtrack. It was hard to exactly pin-point the summit but we went with the little 'bump' impaled by a piece of timber. Linkback: https://mountainviews.ie/summit/806/comment/15178/
