Coolroe is on the long ridge that starts near Glenbeigh and goes SW to the famous Glenbeigh Horseshoe. You can reach it from Glenbeigh by taking the Kerry Way south out of Glenbeigh. This goes up a stone paved track to the col between Coolroe and Seefin from where the top is 640m SW. - an easy walk in itself or the start of the very long way round the Glenbeigh horseshoe. Coolroe is well positioned for great views of much of the Dingle and Iveragh peninsulas which makes up for the rather meagre summit feature consisting of what you can see: some old stumps.

Our picture shows one part of the vista towards the Reeks. Trackback: https://mountainviews.ie/summit/764/comment/3520/
