Access from waterville not easy
by markmjcampion  2 May 2015
Sorry, think I must have deleted the photos from this hike. Anyway, the track from Waterville that you will see on the 83 OS map doesn't really exist. I accessed the hill from V512 649 starA or thereabouts. Quite messy at first with fences and undergrowth but an easy ridge to follow thereafter. I left in the evening and brought along my tent hoping to camp on Mullaghbeg before returning via Cahernageeha and Farraniaragh. Unfortunately the weather turned overnight and as I had forgotten my waterproofs I decided to dash down the 4x4 road instead and hitch a lift back to my car.
