It is noteworthy that this peak is located partially in the townland of Glenough Upper (Ir. Gleann Achaidh Uachtarach). It seems too big a coincidence that the names are so similar. They are more likely to be variant forms of a single name, but this is not certain. Any further information on the correct name of this peak would be very welcome.
