Usually done in conjunction with Purple Mountain - in fact it is virtually impossible to do this in isolation. Park at the Gap of Dunloe (parking for a few cars) and follow the track as indicated on that mountain's short summary. From the summit of Purple it is a relatively simple, albeit steep in parts, descent of 100m over about 0.5km to the col towards the NE. There is then a gentle ascent over a few hundred metres of about 40m, with the going pretty firm, mixture of grass and rock. There is a cairn near the summit, but the highest point is marked by a 'pointy' pile of stones a short distance away. Linkback: mountainviews.ie/summit/72/comment/4832/
