One approach is from the east. It is possible to drive to point G98701 40551 A, although care is needed on the occasionally potholed road, and you must open and close a gate at one point, but no signs deny access. From there the summit is just 650m to the west although an ascent of 140m is still necessary. Cross some turf workings and begin to ascend through steeper terrain, mostly grass and the occasional boulder, aiming for G98146 40223 B, then turn NW up the short, but steepest final stretch. The summit area is an interesting mix of short heather and flat rocks dotted with shallow pools. The high point is a distinctive, lone, small boulder topped with stones. Return journey to car 1 hour.
