Beware map 39 !
by Fergalh  9 Aug 2014
Please note if having approched Crenville from North, East or West that the Irish map no. 39 is incorrect (if you compare with the northern version the diamond shape in the forest on coming off Crenville heading in a southerly direction is not there.) as a result on descending towards Slieve Martin it can be very easy to go in a wrong direction. Naturally in mist this can lead to an awful lot of confusion. Thankfully, even though it was extremely misty today i had my compass (as always) and I had some earlier compass readings to follow if not i may still be on the mountain !
