Knocknagree E Top has views of the ridge enclosing the pocket to the north. From near the summit a keyhole view opens up of the eastern reeks which can be seen in this picture just to the left of Lackabane.

I would love to comment on the fine views we experienced on this top. True, it was just below the mist level when we arrived, but we were busy pulling on our waterproof trousers and jackets to notice one. The light rain on Knocknagree had turned into a down pour, by the time we had reached the East Tops summit. And our plan for a traverse of the 7 MV hills between Castletownbere to Adrigole was looking very doubtful now.
We returned pasted the Glas Loughs and swung round east, towards Knocknagree SE Top. It was here we picked up a marked trail, well, lots of painted dots, some arrows which lead to within a few metres of the summit of Knocknagree SE Top. On this our 5 top of the day, we decided to call it a day. Wifey non-pulsed about tackling Hungry Hills crags in the rain and mist. We returned towards the Glas Loughs, passing by the south tip of the smallest at A (V735 498) to pick up the track down at B (V73273 49963). This track leads all the way down the R572 by a church at Curryglass. You can of course pick up the Beara Way again, and follow it back to Castletownbere. Or in our case, being sopping wet, phone for a taxi, which arrived in 10 mins, to whisk us back to town for some afternoon Guinness. Linkback: mountainviews.ie/summit/576/comment/6026/
