A small top in a sea of Industrialisation
by three5four0  5 Oct 2011
See Coomagearlahy for the first section of this walk.

Reached this top from Coomagerlahy, by following a fence and the forest boundary, as this mighty top came into view, i left the fence, crossed some deep grass and worked my way round to the SW side and ascended the 32 metres to its summit. Had a bar of chocolate, while i surveyed the scene of mass industrialisation of our hills, dumper trucks driving everywhere along a myriad of tracks. Masts, wind turbines and other structures dotted the hillside, a quiet place it was not.

Returned over Coomagearlahy and back to the tracks and my way of ascent.

Interestingly, there is now a track out round the north west side of Knockbwee, which could be comfortable added to the day. Unfortunately for me, it was now throwing it down again, much like it had for the previous several days. So it was time to meet the wife and go for a nice pint of the black stuff.
