The cliffs of Minaun are spectacular when viewed from Keel. They offer a popular launch site for hang-gliding. The summit is a magnificent viewpoint, giving a surprisingly broad view of all of Achill and much of West Mayo, considering its moderate height. For a walk to the TV mast on Minaun, see Siúlóidí Acla, walk K. The summit is a little further on. Sometimes spelt Menawn.   Minaun is the 676th highest place in Ireland.

To cheat or not to cheat.

A nice hike could be made for this hill including what looks like a lovely cliff walk to the South of the summit but as we had already bagged a couple of peaks the same day we cheated and drove to the masts at the top as mentioned by simon3. From here it's a short walk of just over a kilometer to the statute at the summit. Great views over Keel beach. Linkback: https://mountainviews.ie/summit/561/comment/20170/
