We mostly followed Simon3's excellent directions, with the exception that we took the track to the east of the Poulanass waterfall which, for the lazy hillwalker (us included) might knock a couple of hundred metres off the route. The summit of Derrybawn is nothing special - a broad area with a small cairn, but the views to the NW in particular are wonderful, and it was particularly good as we ascended on the hottest day of the year! The only blight on the scenery is the large amount of clear-felling (visible in the pic) currently afoot. Linkback: https://mountainviews.ie/summit/537/comment/19959/
