Kirikee is a townland in the parish of Knockrath. Price suggests that it may be derived from Tir Meicc I, the first element being tír, 'land'.   Kirikee Mountain is the 646th highest place in Ireland.

Kirikee from Three Crosses Pass!
by eamonoc  8 Mar 2011
3/3/2011. Decided to climb four mountains I had never visited before, starting at Kirikee followed by Trooperstown Hiill, Brockagh and Brockagh Sth East top. Started climbing Kirikee at "Three Crosses Pass" followed directions as advised by csd, took about 18mins on a good well defined track to reach Kirakee summit. The morning was clear and bright, the views to the west that unfolded as height was gained were absolutely magnificant, from Sugar Loaf in the North to Croghan Kinsella in the South. Make sure of a good clear day for a visit to this Mountain Linkback:

Kirikee from the NW.

From the ridge south of Derrybawn there is this NW view of Kirikee.

The amusing conjunction with the cairn below the mast is from the top of Cullentragh East, a small hill not listed by MountainViews. Linkback:

"Bring back The Three Crosses"
by denis-gill  3 Jan 2011
I enjoyed mcrtchly's account of his Christmas snow walk onto Kirikee except for his departure point i.e. The Shay Elliot! when he actually began on The Three Crosses Pass !!!
Forgive my finickiness but I and Michael Miley of the Knockadosan have campaigned for the old name for this high pass to be brought back into common usage...ask anyone down in Glenmalure where the Shay Elliot Memorial is and they will tell you...
"It's up on the Three Crosses!"
It is unfortunately not noted on the OSi maps but thankfully it is on the new EastWest Mapping Wicklow series.
Once again Dear mcrtchly..."Forgive my nitpicking but I believe old names such as The Three Crosses Pass deserve to be remembered...History is who we are and a Nation that forgets its history is no better than a wasteland!
Denis Gill of The Roving Soles.

Picture: Kirikee trig point
Good start for a loop walk
by tmsr  13 Aug 2015
We accessed this from across the road at the Shay Elliott car park and it's a very easy ascent on good tracks and forest roads. We turned at the trig point ( which seems to be on private land and climbed the lower but steeper Carriglineen to make a 2 hour loop out of the walk. Good underfoot conditions in August but puddles and boggy stretches suggest it may be mucky enough in winter. Linkback:

Simple and straightforward
by Colin Murphy  6 May 2019
Walk up the track from Shay Elliot car park and after about 5 minutes you will come to a sort of crossroads. Take the track to the left, which meanders a good deal for about 15 minutes until it emerges at a T-junction. Turn right and continue up track for a further 10 minutes all the way to summit. Good, though not spectacular views all round. I hour return journey. Linkback:
