Picture: December view from the east.
An Bhinn Dubh is almost certainly the easiest top on the entire Dingle peninsula. The first bump on the huge sickle-shaped ridge linking the Connor Pass to Brandon, its ascent can be accomplished in a matter of minutes. Start from the car park at the top of the pass Conr Ps (Q49048 05584) and plod up the wide and gently-inclined track heading west for about 700m to the summit (a little way past a conspicuous cairn). The immediate environs are unexceptional but the views are very good.

If not pressed for time continuing at least as far as Ballysitteragh is recommended.

Picture: Summit Cairn not on summit!

I can't believe this hill hasn't been commented on, considering it's position close to a very busy viewing point. If you park at the Connor Hill viewpoint on the highest point of the Connor Pass Conr Ps (Q49048 05584) and just head West up the well-trodden track, 15 minutes will get you to the cairn at A (Q48569 05621) and another 3 or 4 minutes to the highest point. I imagine that many people climb this short half km,70 metre ascent to get photo op's, then with their panoramas of the Dingle Peninsula complete, head back down to their car, bike or whatever transport they arrived in/on. I have a pic of the summit, a relatively flat, unexciting place in itself, but what a vantage point. Linkback: mountainviews.ie/summit/521/comment/6406/
