Don't trust the Bull Part 2!
by three5four0 3 Oct 2011
See Foilclogh for first part of this route.

Alas it was yet another misty summit, so i didn't hang around long, taking a direct descent (with a fence to cross) across the hillside and back to the small metal gate into the field with the track.

Luckily, the way the track is cut into the slope sort of hides your profile from below, till you hit the last bend, where the track descends straight down the field to the gate. As I arrived at the bend, there below me, watching and waiting for me & right in the middle of the track was the bull again. I thought i could almost see him lick his lips at the thought of a good gouging! So it was another quick hop over the fence into the next field to avoid him, before hopping back over again further down the slope. And oh yes, he watched me intently the whole way past him.

Got back to the car, managed, just, to keep the farmers dogs out of our car and not to hit them as we drove back down the road, with the dogs following us for some considerable distance. Linkback: mountainviews.ie/summit/517/comment/6556/

A lovely Ridge Walk
by Cobhclimber 18 May 2015
Climbed as part of a circuit from Mountain Stage to Cahersiveen, about 30km, over 11 hrs. Crossed over from Caunoge and joined the Kerry Way and then did the ridge including Beenduff, Foilclogh, Bentee this section about 15km. A full circuit could include the Kerry Way from Cahersiveen and back this ridge walk. Great views in all directions from the ridge, a lovely walk. Linkback: mountainviews.ie/summit/517/comment/17993/
