Steep difficult ascent from the west
by Fergalh  26 Sep 2022
Park at one of two parking bays near holiday cottages at 480608 starA . Follow road 100 metres north east until you come to farm track on your right. Follow this past two holiday houses and an old ruined barracks . So far so good now the difficult part. Find a suitable angle of attack and cross fence poor wet steep ground ground makes this for a tough climb should you not wish to scramble up the steep nose. Great views on summit, however this looks easier (if longer walk) from the east if combined with climb of slightly higher Beenarourke and traversing the col between the two hills. However it should be noted that the views on the ascent of this small peninsula are better on the ascent rather than the somewhat flat summit area.
