Short trek to summit (with historical connections ?)
by Fergalh  17 Nov 2022
Parked at 390005 starA outside some houses, proceeded up road until gate was reached at 397006 starB. Crossed gate and a few fences and electric fences until rough unmarked summit is reached. Extensive views of Ventry harbour and Dingle from this point. Locals in the nearby O'Seas pub afterwards advise that this is where the local hero St. Brendan used to exercise before he took his currach to Newfoundland although we found no evidence of that at the summit. !
