with parking adjacent you will find a faint trail to the fence which has obvious signs of usage to gain access to the open hillside allowing an easy accent to the summit area . Left the car at Rosmuc and headed west on a loop with the bicycle. Stopped off at the gate beside the thatched monstrosity at

, hid the bike behind a ditch and headed up to the summit through easy terrain with a small bit of damp bog and some minor but avoidable scrambling. Great views from the top including the southern Bens, Cashel Hill and the islands of Roundstone Bay. Headed down the same way but it could easily be linked with Sandman's route for a short loop including a pleasant road walk. There's parking at
